The Colorado 14ers Expedition is for teens with diabetes (ages 15-17), who are preparing to venture off on their own after high school. Participants work with type 1 mentors and peers from around the country, as they push toward a 14,000 foot Colorado summit.

Over the course of their week together, participants work on communicating fears and challenges they face in their journey with diabetes. They swap management strategies, push themselves physically, and develop lifelong relationships with peers and mentors alike.
